The maiden edition of the corporate eCup came off yesterday at Decathlon Ghana at the junction Mall, Nungua Accra.
The event organized by ThirdEye media in collaboration with Joysports aims at bringing corporate bodies together to have fun in the field of esports while networking to enhance healthy competition.
Speaking at the event, chief executive officer (CEO) of ThirdEye media, Foster Kofi Sam reiterated the importance of the event saying it is meant to help build esports in Ghana among the corporate bodies. Also present was the President of the Ghana Esports Association, Kwasi Hayford.
Ten corporate bodies took part in the competition; A1 Bread, solverbrooks Ltd, Ghkasa.com, GeorgeBritton.com, Jonila.net, Joysports, Hacklab foundation, Decathlon Ghana, IMF and JayKay. However, SilverBrooks Ltd beat A1 Bread in the final to win the maiden edition of the competition.
The second edition of the corporate eCup is expected to take place in the last quarter of the year.
