AS Roma appoints Claudio Ranieri as their new manager

AS Roma has appointed Claudio Ranieri as their new manager till the end of the season. The former Fulham, Chelsea and Leicester city manager replaces Eusebio Di Francesco who was sacked on Wednesday after losing 4-3 on aggregate to Porto in the champions league last 16.

Ranieri, 67, was sacked by Fulham eight days ago after winning three of his 17 games in charge. The former Chelsea manager who also managed AS Roma between 2009 and 2011, has been given a quick return to management by his former employers.
