Leicester city are set to appoint Brendan Rodgers as new manager

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is set to become Leicester city’s new manager after he was given permission by his current club to speak to the foxes concerning the vacant job.

First team coach John Kennedy is likely to be in charge of Celtic for their Wednesday Scottish league match against Hearts if Rodgers reaches a deal with Leicester, according to sky sports.

The move for Rodgers is as a result of the sacking of Claude Puel on Sunday following the 4-1 home defeat to Crystal Palace. Puel went seven matches without a win and that leaves Leicester 12th in the Premier League and only eight points above relegation.
